*Personality
Collies are very intelligent dogs. They are sensitive, sweet, easy to train and loyal. They are accepting of other pets and friendly with other dogs. Collies are faithful, playful, docile, protective of their family members and good with children.
Like all canines, a collie owner should socialize their pup well to prevent them from becoming wary of strangers. They are not aggressive, but can be suspicious of people they do not know.
Daily exercise is important. Like most dogs, they need a firm, but calm owner who sets the rules and sticks to them. They love to learn and do very well in doggie classroom settings. A clean breed, the Collie is normally easy to housebreak.
