Tennessee went home with an island family today. I am so pleased... bitter sweet.... but so pleased... they couldn't be nicer people... only had 3 dogs and usually sported 4.... so he fit right in! I walk past their house every day with Jazz and Lilly.... I'll miss him... I miss them all in a way... but I am so thankful they are in homes where they are safe and loved.
The babies are almost 8 weeks old and it's time to go home. All are sold. I wanted to enter some new pictures here, but I lost my phone! If I find it or get some photos from the new owners that they took at the last birthday party I will post them!
What a wonderful party we had.... next week... weather permitting we will celebrate OUTSIDE. All get puppy shots and flea treatment on Friday... 1st vet trip... very exciting...
Our housing arrangement now includes 2 large crates and the whelping box.... Everybody is getting so BIG. Lots of eating... pooping ... sleeping... whining... and tons of love.... PUPPIES.... :->
Tennessee is still looking for his forever home....
Violet is a pretty girl with blue eyes and a sweet temperment. She has a cute little dark circle around one eye. Miss Pink... who will get a few more pictures added in the next day or so... will also have blue eyes, and is almost all white except for tan at her ears and one eye. Tennessee will have brown eyes and is very patient. He has spots on his back side and violet at this point is all white except for the color on her head.
The puppies ate sooooo much food this week! They are getting so big! I enlarged their whelping box by hooking up a large crate to it. It gives them more room to play. They got confused about all the pee places... but after a couple of days they are sorting it out.
We will put the outside pen up this week I hope so as soon as they have had their 1st shots and flea treatment they can spend some time playing outdoors on warm days....
Yesterday was the puppies 4 week birthday. New puppy owners, family and friends came to celebrate and give the little guys thrir first solid food. OMG! Some of them could't get enough! I didn't get as many individual pictures as I wanted due to the minor chaos caused by 9 puppies and 12 birthday guests... but it was fun! As the next couple of days go by, I will attempt to photograph more individual puppies to show their growth.... it's truely amazing.
My daughter came on Sunday and then again last night and said they were noticably larger in 2 days.... and cuter I might add...
3 Weeks.... everybody's eyes are open... their fur is changing... softer and fuller... they stay on the bedding part of the whelping box and migrate to the edges to potty... leaving the sleeping area clean almost all the time. And they just get cuter..... New pictures are on the Meet the New Puppies page... click and see!
Last night we had a 2 weeks birthday party. I can't believe they are 2 weeks already... although when they start walking around and leaving deposits everywhere, I may think they have been here for months! Violet, Bleubelle, Go Dog Go, and Veronica all have parents waiting for them and Miss Pink and Buster Brown are on hold. I have to admit... every time someone puts a deposit down, my heart twinges just a little. I certainly don't want to keep them all.... but saying goodbye will be hard!
There are more new pictures on the website and I will be adding to the 2 week photos through out the week.... they do not hold very still so I have been having a hard time getting shots that don't just look like phantom images!
1 week birthday photos! Please come to the website and see everybody at one week. The BIG news Miss Bluebelle has already met her forever family and will be going home to them in 7 weeks!
